With their arrival, Bofill Mir now counts a total of 14 partners, nearly one-third of whom are women, as part of a process of sustained growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this strategic decision, <strong>Dispute Resolution<\/strong> is strengthened through a joint leadership that combines outstanding technical expertise with a deep understanding of various industries \u2014 across arbitral, judicial, and administrative matters \u2014 for the benefit of our clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both are lawyers from the Universida de Chile, with postgraduate studies in New York and professional experience abroad, in addition to having developed their careers at leading local law firms. They are also part of the young arbitrators\u2019 roster of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, reflecting their active involvement in the arbitration community. Their addition reinforces Bofill Mir Abogados\u2019 interdisciplinary character and proven international experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding their incorporation, <strong>Liat Tapia<\/strong> she emphasized that \u201cBofill Mir\u2019s clients demand technically impeccable service. Both have outstanding careers, and we are confident that their addition marks a decisive step in the development of this practice within the firm,\u201d explained <strong>Rodrigo Saffirio<\/strong>, managing partner of the firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrival of the new partners follows the additions made in September, when Tom\u00e1s Blake, partner of Public and Regulatory Law, and Daniel Martorell, partner of Criminal Law who is leading the launch of this new practice area, joined the firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Liat Tapia<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Liat Tapia holds a Law degree from the University of Chile and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where she received the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Parker School Recognition awards for outstanding academic performance. She was granted both the Becas Chile and Fulbright scholarships for academic and professional merit. In addition, she is licensed to practice law in Chile and in the State of New York, USA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She joins the firm as a partner in the Dispute Resolution team, bringing with her a strong track record in handling complex matters \u2014 both domestic and international \u2014 in civil, commercial, and investment disputes.\nThroughout her career, she worked as an international associate at Three Crowns LLP in London, where she participated in investment arbitrations before ICSID and under the rules of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the arbitration field, she is part of the Young Arbitrators\u2019 Roster of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CAM Santiago), as well as of the Courts of Appeal of Santiago and San Miguel.\nIn the academic sphere, she has served as a Professor of Civil Law at Universidad Adolfo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, and has authored several publications in Chile and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is recognized in Arbitration as <em>Up and Coming <\/em>by Chambers and Partners, as a Rising Star by The Legal 500, and as \u201cLACCA Approved\u201d by LACCA. In addition, she was named a \u201cYoung Talent Under 35\u201d by Diario Financiero in 2023.\nShe is also an active member of professional councils and associations, including Women in Dispute Resolution (WDR), the Board of Experts of the Chilean Bar Association, and the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Felipe de Marinis<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Felipe de Marinis is a lawyer from the University of Chile and holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law, where he received the Dean\u2019s Graduate Award and the Becas Chile scholarship for academic and professional merit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has a solid track record in dispute resolution, standing out in both national and international arbitrations\u2014commercial and investment alike\u2014as well as in various types of litigation (civil, commercial, administrative, consumer protection, among others).
