Bofill Mir Abogados strengthens its Dispute Resolution practice with the addition of two new partners

Bofill Mir Abogados announced the addition of Liat Tapia and Felipe de Marinis as new partners leading the Dispute Resolution practice. With their arrival, Bofill Mir now counts a total of 14 partners, nearly one-third of whom are women, as part of a process of sustained growth.

With this strategic decision, Dispute Resolution practice is strengthened through a joint leadership that combines outstanding technical expertise with a deep understanding of various industries — across arbitral, judicial, and administrative matters — for the benefit of our clients.

Both are lawyers from the Universida de Chile, with postgraduate studies in New York and professional experience abroad, in addition to having developed their careers at leading local law firms. They are also part of the young arbitrators’ roster of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, reflecting their active involvement in the arbitration community. Their addition reinforces Bofill Mir Abogados’ interdisciplinary character and proven international experience.

Regarding their incorporation, Liat Tapia she emphasized that “Bofill Mir’s clients demand technically impeccable service. My motivation is to lead the resolution of their disputes with the utmost rigor, always focused on meeting their objectives through an excellent, efficient, and transparent service.” Regarding the firm, she expressed that she “feels proud to be part of an office that maintains a permanent commitment to female leadership in the profession.”

Likewise, Felipe de Marinis he emphasized that “Chile is experiencing an increasingly litigious environment, marked by constant legal reforms and increasingly technical disputes. For companies, having specialized lawyers who can anticipate risks and design effective strategies is critical. I am confident that this new structure at Bofill Mir will be key to addressing these challenges and delivering high-value solutions to our clients, both domestic and international.”

“We were looking to bring in practice leaders capable of handling the significant volume of work we have in dispute resolution, both locally and internationally. Both have outstanding careers, and we are confident that their addition marks a decisive step in the development of this practice within the firm,” explained Rodrigo Saffirio, managing partner of the firm.

The arrival of the new partners follows the additions made in September, when Tomás Blake, partner of Public and Regulatory Law, and Daniel Martorell, partner of Criminal Law who is leading the launch of this new practice area, joined the firm.
