On February 13, 2025, Law No. 21.729 was published in the Diario Oficial, amending Law No. 18.168, the General Telecommunications Law. This law introduces new obligations for public telephone service and data transmission concessionaires regarding user registration and identification, as well as establishing a new public prosecution offense.
