The Directorate of Public Procurement and Contracting (DCCP) published Directive No. 45, dated February 6, 2025, which provides recommendations for public bodies on how they should treat personal data in the framework of their public procurement procedures.
Through this directive, which follows the example of the recommendations issued by the Council for Transparency in the area of data for state administration bodies, the DCCP seeks to guide state agencies in the implementation of appropriate measures to safeguard the personal data of buyers and suppliers in the context of purchases made through the Public Market platform, in accordance with Law No. 19,628 of 1999 on the Protection of Private Life.
The directive also states that government agencies must adapt their processes to the new requirements set forth in Law No. 21.719, which regulates the Protection and Processing of Personal Data and creates the Personal Data Protection Agency, which will be responsible for the protection of personal data. will enter into force in December 2026.
