We thank Javier BermeosoloLegal Director and Data Protection Officer at L'Oréal Groupe Chile, who spoke alongside our senior associate from the Data & Technology area, Jorge Tisné NiemannThe event was organised by the European Commission in the talk ‘Risks and opportunities for companies with the new law on the protection of personal data’.

Jorge started the talk by outlining the most important elements of the standard along with the complexities it entails for companies, explaining how to address these challenges from a legal perspective. Javier was then able to present his practical experience in implementing a compliance programme in this area in his capacity as DPO.
