Pablo Mir, appointed Trustee of The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (FNREL)

Pablo Mir, partner at Bofill Mir Abogados, has been appointed Trustee of The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (FNREL).

Pablo Mir, lawyer and leading partner of the Mining and Natural Resources practice at Bofill Mir Abogados, has been named Trustee of FNREL (formerly known as the “Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation”).

FNREL is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to the study and training in matters related to natural resources and energy law. It also plays an important role in supporting the development of policies and laws that impact these fields both at national and international levels.

The role of the trustees, who are elected annually for a one-year term, is to support FNREL in its educational and training efforts in the field of Natural Resources and Energy Law.

In collaboration with Sonami, the Mining Council, and the Association of Mining Lawyers, FNREL will hold a course on International Mining Law in Santiago this October.

This appointment adds to his position as co-chair of the Mining Law Committee of the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure of the International Bar Association (SEERIL – IBA) for the 2023-2025 term.
